Creating a Plan of Study

IMPORTANT CHANGES COMING TO THE MPH

Regardless of major or majors, a Plan of Study must be filed before completion of the first 12 credit hours in the MPH program. Graduate Certificate students must file a Plan of Study also. Should the student decide to change majors, a new Plan of Study must be filed along with a Change of Major form.  If a student decides to change any of the courses on the Plan of Study, a Course Substitution form must be filed. These forms can be found in the menu under Current Students on this web site.

The major advisor is the key to a successful Plan of Study. NOCPH has provided some resources that will help the student and advisor plan the MPH.

Links for Plans of Study for all majors can be found under the menu for Current Students and below.

For an overview of core and major courses and in what semester(s) they are offered, refer to Annual Courses by Semester

The 3 Year Schedule by Day will help avoid courses on conflicting days. This chart shows what semesters and on what days courses will be offered through 2018.

Some suggested electives are listed at   Suggested Electives for MPH Students. For your electives, MPH students may take any graduate level course in any department at either the University of Toledo or Bowling Green State University. If an elective is chosen at BGSU, Dr. Milz (sheryl.milz@utoledo.edu) must be notified. The BGSU course must be entered in the UT system so that the4 student can register for it through MyUT. There is no credit for the elective (or any course for that matter) by registering for the course through MyBGSU only.

Print the appropriate Plan of Study and secure the appropriate signatures.  Bring the Plan of Study to 4416 Collier Building, UT Health Science Campus.
