new logo     Internship and Scholarly Project Presentations

The Internship or Scholarly Project Presentation is an important element of the internship and the project. Presentations are held at the end of each semester, usually at BGSU at Levis Commons.  Below are the requirements for the presentation.

Internship and Scholarly Project Presentation Dates

Fall 2017                   December 8, 2017
Spring 2018              April 27, 2018

1.   You are limited to 10 minutes and you will be held to that.

2.   Dress professionally – as if you were presenting at a national conference.

3.    Introduce yourself and tell us your major.

4.   Give a brief description of your internship location and how you obtained your internship or how you determined the topic of your scholarly project.

5.   Tell us who was your internship or scholarly project supervisor, their title, and credentials (degrees and certifications).

6.   Tell us about your internship activities, project or projects

       a.   Focus on what you did and not on what you found

7.   Link your activities or projects to the competencies for your major

       a.   Tell us how your activities or projects met the competencies

8.   Link your activities or projects to the core competencies

      a.   Tell us how your activities or projects met the core competencies.

9.   Include the objectives for your internship or scholarly project as a whole

      a.   Tell us how these were addressed during your internship or scholarly project

10. Put your presentation on a flash drive and bring it with you. A computer will be provided for the presentation.

11.  Send an electronic copy of your presentation to Jan Brown (janis.brown@utoledo.edu) no later than 5:00 pm on the presentation date.
