MPH Advisory Council

Several Public Health professionals in the community serve in an advisory capacity to the MPH program.  They meet at least twice a year, student progress, student and alumni program evaluations and make suggestions to improve and update the MPH degree curriculum. Members of the MPH Advisory Council are:

  • Ruth Gerding, Administrator, Emergency Response and MRC Coordinator, Putnam County, Ohio
  • David Grossman, Health Commissioner, Toledo/Lucas County, Ohio
  • Stu Kerr, anti-smoking activist and former Tobacco Prevention Coordinator, Toledo/Lucas County Health Department, Ohio
  • Kim Moss, Health Commissioner, Defiance County, Ohio
  • Peter Schade, Health Commissioner, Erie County, Ohio
  • Larry Vasko, Deputy Commissioner, Toledo/Lucas County, Ohio

Keeping In Touch

The MPH program is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). Each year, as a requirement of accreditation, NOCPH must survey two separate years of graduates. In addition, NOCPH must survey the employers of graduates.

Giving Back

Higher education budgets are shrinking for a variety of reasons. Programs simply cannot rely totally on federal, state and local government financial support.
